The best way to teach a child to care for the environment as an adult is by immersing them in nature. Junior Naturalists can participate in hiking and water activities, introductory fire building, shelter building, gardening, bird-watching, plant ID, field journaling, introductory foraging and more.

We have two tiers for our Junior Naturalist program depending on many factors, including but not limited to age, experience in the forest, fire safety, hiking etiquette, endurance, field journaling, plant ID, and more.

Mondays: $720.00*
Tuesdays: $780.00
Wednesdays: $780.00
Thursdays: $720.00*
*The difference in rate reflects days class will not be in session.

For Ages: 7 through 11 years old*
When: 9/16/2024 to 12/5/2024
1-4 Days/Week: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Thursdays
(You can choose one, two, three or all four days but your child must be in attendance at least one day of each week)*
Hours: 9:30 am to 2:00 pm—4.5 hours
Commitment: 13 Weeks
Where: 550 Snake Den Road, West Milford, NJ

Payment Terms: 15% deposit upon registration and monthly payments will be automatically sent out. Siblings receive 5% discount.

You will receive in invoice after your registration is accepted.

This is a drop-off program. Please arrive a few minutes early when dropping off your child(ren) so that we can start our program on time. Pick-up is promptly at 2:00 pm.

*This program is generally best for children, ages 7-12 but if your child is outside this age range, and you feel they would do well in this program, please contact us for an individual assessment.
